Counseling Services in Kingwood, Texas for Individuals, Couples and Families

Your New Day Starts Here:

With the goal of creating meaningful and lasting change, my work often entails using mindfulness to help clients think more clearly, feel more balanced, and thrive. Therapy may focus on learning skills, developing emotional capacity, or interrupting old patterns to more easefully manage difficult situations.

“I believe the greatest gift I can conceive of having from anyone is to be seen by them, heard by them, to be understood and touched by them. The greatest gift I can give is to see, hear, understand and to touch another person. When this is done I feel contact has been made.”

— Virginia Satir

My Approach

Choosing a therapist can be an intimidating process and reaching out for help can be uncomfortable. We all need support in order to thrive. Within a warm, open, and compassionate environment, my practice helps clients make sense of the challenges they face and use this understanding to navigate their lives with increased resilience and grace.

Meet Your Therapist

Melina Wilcox

I have not always been a therapist. In the past I worked as an attorney and mediator, managed disaster relief and recovery programs, as well as engaged in social justice and humanitarian projects. These past experiences, in addition to education, clinical training, and certifications, helped prepare me for my current role as a therapist. I am able to bring valuable insights into improving communication, negotiation, and problem-solving, all of which contribute to my ability to guide you towards positive outcomes in therapy.
